I grew up in a country where several cultures have co-existed for nearly two hundred years. In this ethnically mixed environment where languages also met and inevitably mingled, my earliest and most persistent memories are of family and friends conversing in different dialects and languages, moving casually and smoothly from one language to another.
After a first degree in literature and sociology, I went to England to do a Master’s in literature. Like countless graduates before me, I then decided to take time off to see a bit more of the world before settling down. During my travels, I lived and worked in different countries. The desire to understand my new environment and communicate with new friends was a highly motivating factor to learning a new language with each move.
As an English language teacher in Spain and Germany where I lived for several years, I taught at university as well as to professionals and businessmen in private companies. A long-time resident of over 25 years in France, I have worked in various jobs, such as teaching English in college and to businessmen and professionals; as a trilingual executive secretary and a sales secretary in fields as varied as high-end hi-fi and international tourism.
Drawing upon my past professional and personal experience, I offer translation and secretarial services to both professionals and private individuals.
